How to apply

To start your studies at the University of Strasbourg, it is necessary to be admitted to the French-German Master program „Mention Sciences du Vivant“ including the streams Molecular, Cellular and Integrated Biology (BMCI) or Neurosciences.

Applications must be submitted online at the Université de Strasbourg interface de Précandidatures (ARIA) portal.

Applicaton Deadlines

Application period is from March 15th to April 30th for the academic year starting on September 1st .
Candidates will be informed around June 1st.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor or Licence (or equivalent) degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Biosciences, Human Biology, Molecular Biology, Molecular Medicine or Medical Biology and have to be admitted to the local national Master’s program.

We also request explicit language experience (B1-B2 level for French) and a strong dedication to research.

Even though we do not demand a German language certificate, knowledge of German and deep interest in intercultural studies are expected for the participation.

Selection process

Candidates will be selected by a selection committee before June 1st.

Saarbrücken / Homburg

How to apply

To start your studies in Saarbrücken/Homburg, it is necessary to be admitted to the national Master’s program “Human- und Molekularbiologie”.

Applications may be submitted online at the Saarland University Master Portal.

After admission, the prospective students can hand in an informal application for the international program within their first semester.

Application Deadlines

Application period for winter term ends July 15th, for summer term January 15th.

The website usually opens 5-6 weeks in advance (free places are only guaranteed for winter term. The summer term application process will only take place in case of vacancies after winter term application process).

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor (or equivalent) degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Biosciences, Human Biology, Molecular Biology, Molecular Medicine or Medical Biology and have to be admitted to the local national Master’s program.

We also request explicit language experience (German: TestDaf 4 or DSH-2 or higher (further information) and a strong dedication to science and research.

Even though we do not demand a French language certificate, knowledge of French and deep interest in intercultural studies are expected for the participation.
