How to apply

To start your studies at the University of Strasbourg, it is necessary to be admitted to French-German Bachelor/LICENCE in Life Sciences (Mention Sciences du Vivant).

Applications for the academic year must be submitted online at the national Admission Postbac (APB) portal.

Applicaton Deadlines

Application period for the academic year is from January 20th to March 30th. The Admission Postbac (APB) portal usually opens around mid January.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants should hold a French-German ABIBAC or a French Baccalauréat (section européenne LV1 Allemand) or a German Allgemeine Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (Abitur).

B2 level is requested for the French language (if not a native speaker). Even though a German language certificate is not mandatory, solid knowledge of German and deep interest in intercultural studies is expected for the participation.

Selection process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their Admission Postbac (APB) file.

Saarbrücken / Homburg

How to apply

To start your studies in Saarbrücken/Homburg, it is necessary to be admitted to the national Bachelor’s program “Biologie (Human- und Molekularbiologie)”.
Applications must be submitted online at the Saarland University Application Portal.

After admission, interested students can hand in an informal application for the international program within their first semester.

Application Deadlines

Application period for winter term ends July 15th.

The website usually opens 5-6 weeks in advance.
There is no summer term application process.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must hold a German Allgemeine Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (Abitur) or a French Baccalauréat (other international degrees possible) and have to be admitted to the local national Bachelor’s program.

We also request a German language certificate at a level comparable to TestDaf 4/5 or DSH-2 (further information).
Even though we do not demand a French language certificate, solid knowledge of French and deep interest in intercultural studies is expected for the participation.

Selection process

Candidates will be selected after a personal interview in their first semester.
